Common use
Rythmol is a medication used to treat irregular heartbeat and help to maintain a normal heart rhythm in patients without structural heart disease. It belongs to class 1C antiarrhythmic medicine. And it works on fibers of the heart to stabilize its action and regulate heartbeat.

Dosage and directions
Take is exactly as directed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Take each dose at the time time according to meals. Do not miss any dose. Do not eat grapefruit of drink grapefruit juice. It can affect Rythmol level in the blood.

Precautions
Discuss with your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding; if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement; if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances, kidney or liver problems or myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness); if you use an artificial pacemaker

Contraindications
Do not use the medicine if you have allergy to danazol, porphyria, severe heart, liver or kidney problems, if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, if you have abnormal vaginal bleeding. It can cause birth defects. So use effective birth control methods.

Possible side effects
The most common side effects are change in taste; constipation; dizziness; drowsiness; gas; lightheadedness; tiredness.
Severe side effects include
allergic reactions (rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); blurred vision; chest pain; chills; excessive thirst; fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat; fever; loss of appetite; muscle weakness; prolonged diarrhea; shortness of breath; sore throat; sweating; swelling of the hands or feet; tremor; unexplained weakness; unusual bruising or bleeding; vomiting. Seek medical attention if you expirience one of them.

Drug interaction
Rythmol can ineract with antiarrhythmics (amiodarone, quinidine), arsenic, bepridil, cisapride, droperidol, ketolides (telithromycin), macrolide antibiotics (erythromycin), phenothiazines (thioridazine), pimozide, quinolone antibiotics ( ciprofloxacin), serotonin receptor antagonist antiemetics (dolasetron), tricyclic antidepressants (imipramine), or ziprasidone, azole antifungals (ketoconazole), cimetidine, HIV protease inhibitors (ritonavir), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) (fluoxetine), serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (duloxetine), or venlafaxine, anticoagulants (warfarin), beta-blockers (propranolol), digoxin, haloperidol, or lidocaine.

Missed dose
If you miss a dose of Rythmol, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Overdose
Seek urgent medical help if you overdosed the medicine. Overdose symptoms are convulsions; decreased sexual ability; drowsiness; fainting; fatigue; irregular heartbeat; metallic taste; seizures; severe dizziness or drowsiness; slow heartbeat; weakness..

Storage
Store Rythmol at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) in a tightly closed container, away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep it out of the reach of children and away from pets.
