Common use
Trental is used for treating intermittent claudication in certain patients. Trental relieves the painful leg cramps caused by intermittent claudication, a condition that results when hardening of the arteries reduces the leg muscles' blood supply.

Dosage and direction
Consult with your doctor before using. Use no more than was prescribed. Take it orally with or immediately after meals, and swallowed whole with plenty of water.
The most commonly used dose for adults is 400 mg twice daily.
It can not be used in children without doctor's prescription.

Precautions
In patients with hypotension or severe coronary artery disease, Trental 400 should be used with caution, as a transient hypotensive effect is possible and, in isolated cases, might result in a reduction in coronary artery perfusion. Especially cautiously monitoring is required in people with impaired renal function. In patients with a creatinine clearance of less than 30 ml/min it may be necessary to reduce the daily dose of Trental to one or two tablets to avoid accumulation. You may lower dose of Trental In people with severely impaired liver function. Smoking may worsen your condition or reduce the beneficial effects of Trental by narrowing your blood vessels. Trental should not be used during pregnancy, becoming pregnant or lactating without doctor's advice. Do not use Trental before breast-feeding without doctor's permission.

Contraindications
Trental is not allowed to people who are hypersensitive to any components of this medicine. Also Trental shouldn't be used in the following conditions:
Acute myocardial infraction
Massive bleeding
Cerebral hemorrhage
Massive retinal hemorrhage
Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparation
Pregnancy
Lactation

Possible side effect
They may include all types of an allergic reaction. Also the most possible side effects include:
chest pain or an irregular heartbeat;
severe dizziness, headache, nosebleeds, or blurred vision;
nausea or vomiting;
swollen feet or ankles.
Less serious include:
insomnia,
red eyes,
nervousness.
If you experience one of them stop using Trental and tell your doctor as soon as possible. Also consult with your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual.

Drug interaction
Trental interact with the following group of drugs: blood thinners; hypertensive treatment; diabetes treatment. Also note that interaction between two medications does not always mean that you

Missed dose
If you forgot to take your dose in time, please do it as soon as you remember. But do not take if it is too late or almost time for your next dose. Do not increase your recommended dose. Take your usually dose next day in the same regularly time.

Overdose
Symptoms of Trental overdose may include seizures, agitation, fever, loss of consciousness, a flushed face, and drowsiness. If you experience one of them or any unusual symptoms call your doctor immediately.

Storage
Store at room temperature between 20-25 C (68-77 F).
